The Trust is building a permanent endowment with a goal of $1,000,000 by 2023. Earnings from this fund provide annual grants to support community development projects through community organizations.

This is the first time in history that the communities of Wrights Mesa have had an endowment to invest 100% in our own future. The Lone Cone Legacy Trust provides a vehicle for anyone and everyone to support the future of our community. Those who live in Wright’s Mesa know it is a special place with unique challenges, and with your support we can help secure its future and enrich the lives of the people who live here.

Donate now

Since the Trust was founded in 2013 by local visionary citizens, over $70,000 has been raised through local donations and events.

These events include the Harvest Celebration, the Annual Car Show, Telluride Gives, match grants and general donations. Three match grants in 2015, 2016, and 2017 were successfully met and raised $25,000 alone.

Grants from the fund earnings have been awarded to: the Prime Time preschool for a new playground suited for all ability levels, the Norwood Community Garden for raw water infrastructure, the Town of Norwood for town park improvements and Norwood Parks and Recreation/Save the Livery, The San Miguel Basin Rodeo, and the Norwood School District .  Benefits from past fund raising events have also been shared with ACE of Norwood (now Wide Sky Arts Collective), Wright Stuff Foundation and the FRESH Food Hub.

Harvest Celebration Dinner

The Harvest Celebration Dinner is our largest event of the year! The dinner features local chefs and producers, music, dancing, a cash bar, and more!
